Hi.

I am lost with my Razr.

I was testing a custom ROM made by myself and the phone get briked.

First, i tried to recover the stock backup, but it was broken.

As usually, i flash the stock rom and root it again, it works perfect, but now, if i install any deodexed rom, the phone briks in the bootanimation.

I tried flashing with the RDS-Lite and with the DROID RAZR Utility (from this forum).

I tried with safestrap (many versions) and the Boot Menu Manager.

I can do backups and restores working with the stock ROM.

I tried with many custom roms (aviator, rage, stock deodexed and more) and the phone briks always in the bootanimation, the phone stops in the bootanimation loop.

Can you help me??

I know it is weird but i don't know why this happend and how fix it

Thank you!!

You say it bricks when you flash any ROM ?..... first off, are you flashing in a ROM slot (in safestrap) or trying to flash over stock?.... second, if you are in-fact flashing in a ROM slot, how long are you waiting for it to boot? Some ROMs can take several minutes to boot after flashing......:) third, you should use safestrap version 3.11 ( included in the utility) as most current ROMs are compatible with it (and not the earlier versions) HD tappin' .... hillbilly style!!

I tried in the stock, first and second slot, the stock slot is tested in the BMM, with same results...

If i restore the backup in any slot it works perfect.

I wait for several minutes, even for an hour becouse i forgot the phone while it was turning on, usually i wait over 10 minutes to restart.

I already tried with the safestrap 3.11, 3.54 and other... maybe 3.07?

When you use the utility to restore stock, try wiping the internal and external storages (should make a backup to computer first) .... there may be some "leftovers" or something funky interfering with the ROM slots..... also try to use safestrap as opposed to BMM... we have seen some issues with it that cause the phone not to boot properly....

That was a good try, but it still not working...

I will try now a full wipe and flash the phone.

Any idea??

I forgot something...

When i do de "Internal Storage Wipe" the phone show an error:

"E:tw_format_rmfr: unable to locate volumen for device"

But it show "Successful" too...

I don't know if it is important... I never use the Safestrap before "this adventure"

I'm glad it worked :) .... safestrap is dependant on files that are placed on internal storage to work properly :)
