I was going to use 1.7 but instead I updated with the verizon download. I unroofed with voodoo and then rerooted. Wifi tether is 3.1 beta 14 and when I start it up I get a ad hock error. Anyone know how to fix this please.

Have you tried downloading SQlite from the play store and changing the entitlement check to 0 instead of 1? That's what most people have done and it has worked fine for them and I've done the same thing to fix mine on .211. I have .79 on non-safe side and .211 loaded on safe side with safestrap.

Look for KOA ROM in the development section. In Post 3 I have instructions for getting it to work.

I have a similar issue, wifi tether turns on but computer connects with limited access with no internet. Tried those settings and still nothing. And i used 1.7 to update.

Paid tether works fine, works great with the notification toggle app too.

Make sure you reboot after doing the SQLite hack.

I have FoxFi with root. FoxFi is a non root app. Works like a champ on .211.

The sqlite hack does not apply to the wifi tether app in the market. It only works to get the built in wifi tether to work and foxfi. But I don't use foxfi I use wifi tether cause in on the aokp rom.

Sent from my .211 leak razr do you wanna get cut?

Why would the foxfi app need to be hacked?

Does the built-in tethering app charge hotspot fees over usb tethering?

By default, 'entitlement_usb' is set to 0 on the stock app, so I would guess that there is no charge.
