If anybody is familiar with my post regarding reboot problems with 4.3 ROMs they know I've been unable to perform a reboot without wiping data first in recovery. The simple fix was to mount system before wiping data. Read a post on xda where somebody said you don't get a complete wipe if you don't do that so I did and flashed the latest beanstalk and gapps. Now rebooting normal finally! Hope this helps others who are holding off trying these great ROMs.

Forgot I also flashed the latest twrp. 2.6.3.0 is what I think it is.

Wow... I might have to give 4.3 another go. I was always confused by the twrp mount menu though because it shows some things checked and others not and it doesn't look like anything happens when you check a box.

Like OldDude, mounting system prior to doing my wipes has seemed to solve all of my 4.3 associated issues (reboots, no-boots, long-boots, etc.).

I have tried to implement this as well, but I still get hung up on reboots. I even Rsd'd and went through the process to root and install a custom recovery. I also, unintentionally wiped my sdcard during the process. Initial reboot after complete wipe and install boots OK. Not sure what I could possibly be missing.

Not sure, either.  I've had no issues since I've started mounting and using the latest TWRP.  Have you installed the newest TWRP?

I've got the one that comes up dimmed. 2.6.3.0 I think.

Yes, I did. I just redid everything again Saturday night, trying Beanstalk 4.3. Hangs forever on the moto red ball but does boot eventually.

My first successful reboot took a long time also.

Yes that's what I discovered as well. Now my other problem is I can't seem to back up. I'm wondering if I need to reformat my sdcard or something.

I have no idea.  I've been able to make backups with the latest TWRP on both of my phones.

Bizarre. I tried Philz cwm and the backup froze part way through. Rebooted, put twrp 2.6.3.0 back on and... Backing up and restoring just fine. I'm danged if I know why, but I'll take it!

Who ever really knows?  These things are bizarre sometimes.
