After that install an ICS Leak. I recommend the .211 leak because it's also the official update (: Once you're on the leak/OTA install Safestrap 2.0 for ICS. Matt's Utility 1.7 can do this for you.
From there simply flash a ROM, assuming you know how to since you're on a ROM right now.

Yeah you'll need to Fastboot back to stock GB .181. You can use Matt's Utility 1.6 for this.

Matts utility 1.7 will do everything you need just put the .211 file on your SD first and then run step 1 of the utility.
here's a link for everything:

And if you do all the work BEFORE you put the 211 file on your SD card, fear not. Just take our your SD card (if you can't boot into your phone) and put it into a USB reader on your PC and copy it to it that way and then reinstert it into your phone and boot into stock recovery and flash the update and you'll be golden.
And yes, I'm speaking from experience.

Good advice...I think all of us are guilty of getting ahead of our selves once and awhile!

You know, the sad part of that experience is, I didn't even THINK of removing my SD card after I fastbooted the files from Matts 1.7 utility and discovered after the Moto logo all I got was a black screen. In a fit of panic, I rushed to the chat room and within minutes, one person asked "Do you have a USB reader for your SD card?" DOH! Facepalm and extreme embarrassment ensued at that point. I'm so glad that it wasn't a video chat room or my red face would have been seen by all!
So, I wanted to pass along that little gem as well. I still cannot believe that I didn't think of that immediately. I've flashed my X2 and other phones countless times so I'm not sure why I had such a brain-fart on that one!
