I upgraded to the ics leak last night. It worked perfect for an hour or two. But after that everything started to go crazy with my touch screen. I would touch something on the home screen and something totally unrelated would load from my apps. Or i would be scrolling throgh my apps pages and it would start to load something from the first page. And what is pissing me off the most is my home button isnt working. Also my settings are changing on their own. One time when i boot up the phone it doesnt see my sd card. Another time when i boot it up my wifi comes on automaticly. It acts like it has a virus. Any ideas? Ive had to go back to using my old thunderbolt untill i get this figured out.

Thanks

try a hard reset, if that doesnt help, you'll have to wait a few days, at least until the ota starts hitting for verizon customers, and then take your phone to verizon for help. if you're running 211 its hardly a "leak" anymore, since its what moto/vz will/are pushing to devices already.

Sorry, but you can't go back to stock, unless you get lucky and someone leaks a tool that allows that to happen.

Backup any info you might need, then Goto System settings, privacy, factory data reset.

Personally I would also format internal storage and external storage.

Don't restore any apps that ran on GB onto your ICS install.

Try a factory reset (data wipe).

Which ICS leak did you install last night? There are several versions. If you installed anything other than .75 or .79 then you can't return back to stock. Gingerbread is gone forever. Even Moto said it's gone. Now that we know for sure that 6.16.211 is going to be the official release, no one is really worried about going back to GB as if you are on .211 then you are now "back on path". I was do a factory reset and see if that helps. I would't format my internal or external storage though unless I knew for sure that's what was causing your issue.

Either way, I (nobody) can help you unless we know which version you installed.

Was your phone plugged in? I only ask because I had a phone behaving this way and it ended up being a damaged usb cable.

I was having this same problem and once I unplugged it from the wall charger, it worked just fine.

I use SMS Backup+ to automatically backup all of my text messages to my gmail account. It's free and works without thinking about it.

I use "my backup pro" for sms and mms and it even works from gb to ics without a problem.
