I have a warranty replacement on the way for my droid razr m as the 4g radio never worked after flashing cyanogenmod.

I'm having qualms about shipping them a phone with an unlocked bootloader obviously.  I have successfully flashed this phone and rooted it as well.  I'm open to any options.

Thanks

The way that the bootloader exploit works for HD/Atrix/M phones actually physically changes your phone's circuitry such that it's totally irreversible.

This is correct. You can only unlock not relock.

Do you already have a replacement coming? This seems like something we could troubleshoot before calling it quits...

also, not to throw gas on the fire, but this doesn't exactly sound like a warranty issue... and you voided your warranty when you unlocked your bootloader...

A busted SIM card is a possible culprit of no 4G, try going to your local Verizon store and asking for a replacement SIM card there.

P3droid posted a way to clear the QE checker on moto phones if you do that and put everything back you should be fine. I honestly think you'd be fine regardless it takes to Mich time to check every phone.

That was for root. Not for an unlocked boot loader.

This is where I got hosed... I dropped my phone and shattered the inside and outside screen... long story, took it out of the otterbox because of condensation under the plastic screen cover, and then let it slide right down some bleachers and onto the ground 20 feet below while at my kids HS soccer tryouts... there were many explitives being used, but I digress) so my replacement phone from Asurion, is of course, on 9.20.1.  I'm not a 100% newb at this by all means, as I have been rooting and modding since the D1 days, but I have heard SO many conflicting reports... someone just tell me an honest GD answer.  Can I at least ROOT this phone???  If not, on ebay it goes.  In advance, thanks to all who do what they do, especially djrbliss.  He helped me MANY times, privately, through Gtalk... I wish he would give this exploit another crack at breaking it... no one does it quite like him and he will be missed.
