Jelly bean is more of a refinement of ICS then an overall revamp. So its not a huge difference from what moto will be pushing out. That said, Google is the top when it comes to the release of new android goodness... they aren't and shouldn't wait for all of the manufactures to catch up! No phone would ever get updated then. If there's anyone to get upset with it would be the manufacturers of the devices taking so long to process the updates. Not to mention tack on the time it takes for the carriers to approve! Believe it or not the process is there for a reason. If they just threw together an update that was riddled with bugs that were uncaught before release imagine the amount of upset customers these manufactures and carriers would have to deal with! Most of which have no clue what the difference of GB, ICS, or JB!
If you purchased any phone other then a Nexus you knew what you had before you bought it! Its not a nexus therefore you will not get quick updates as they come down from google! It is what it is. Folks like us that mod are not the majority!!!! So lets try to be happy with what we have! If you cant deal with it buy a nexus... or Google experience device. That's the way it has been and most likely will be!

Going off-topic for a second here. I just heard that an injunction was filed on the Galaxy Nexus because of Apple's patent war. So, there might be a hold on new Galaxy Nexus devices for awhile.
Back on-topic. I've read mainly that JB is more of a refinement of ICS too. I thought that the features sound cool but I'm content with ICS now. I'd like for Motorola to get more of the bugs out of ICS (.211) prior to them developing JB, just my opinion. I've experimented with ROMs, Cyanogenmod, mods, etc. and I like a reliable experience. Hell, that's why I'm paying so much money a month to Verizon to use the phone.

What happened to competition propelling innovation! Oh that's right Apple sued them for having the idea first then added pull down notifications 3 years down the road....
Sorry i know its way off topic but it gets under my skin!
Many android folks wouldn't say this.. but apple makes a decent phone! Its great for average everyday folks that want a smartphone. That's why the IPhone took off like it did! But to sue others that actually show the innovation to pose competition is just wrong! No if ands or buts...

+10000Ive got JB on my GNex. I can confirm its more of a refinement.. lol. The injunction apple has right now is stupid! A company that only got as large as it did because of stolen ideas suing others they feel are to close to them! Simply put they're only suing because they're loosing the majority grip on the smartphone market! Thats it. If Android wasn't around to scare them i can guarantee these patent lawsuits wouldn't be existent!

I absolutely agree, Apple actually does make a decent phone. With that said, there's one main thing that I love about Android. Every year at Google I/O, you hear things like "new feature," "innovative feature," stuff like that. When you hear it from Google, you KNOW that it's a new or innovative feature. You hear things like this from Apple too, but then you see the feature and see that it was used by some other platform (not always Android) and they have just refined it, or changed a few things and called it their own NEW feature. If there's anything about Apple that really drives me crazy, it's that. Not to mention, closed source.
In closing, as I said, Apple does make a great phone, and they definitely make great tablets. However, isn't competition supposed to drive you to be innovative? Instead it's driving Apple to frivolous lawsuits and patent wars. Now thanks to all this, future sales of the Galaxy Nexus may very well be banned in the U.S.
This has gotten completely out hand on Apple's part. Androids only hope right now is to push to get their "notification center" patent approved then stoop to Apples level and take them to court. Ban the sales of iPhones in the U.S.. Get down and dirty and play their game.

But why don't people have the right to be frustrated that a newer and better operating system is coming out right after another one was just pushed out? I mean come on, why didn't they just go to jb from gingerbread? Makes no sense.

Considering they've been working in ICS for the RAZR for several months and JB was JUST released, that would've meant you would be waiting another six months on GB, and I bet yelling the whole time that they should've given us ICS and then worked on JB.
