I flashed the .211 zip file to the safe side of my phone, booted up. Everything is fine. Then I restored a backup to the safe side that I made of the non-safe side of my phone, so I have all my emails, texts, etc. Booted up again, and everything looks fine, and as it should, except I have no status bar on the top of my phone. I have one on my non-safe side, and had it on the safe side until I restored my backup... What gives?

What was the backup based on? .79? There are market apps that you can use to backup texts and phone calls..

Flash the original .211 file, or restore the backup?

Wipe the cache data and dalvik and then try to redo the backup

Boot into your non safe side , download 'SMS Backup and Restore' and 'Call Logs Backup and Restore' from the Play store. Run them. Make sure the backup path is to your sd-ext. Enable safe system. WIPE all and reflash whatever rom it is you want on the other side. Download those apps again or restore them with tibu our another app backup type app. Run them to restore your texts and calls. Still not sure why you were trying to flash stock .211 on both sides though....
Hope this helps...

Thanx. I'll give those apps a try. I'm flashing using stock on both dudes because i want to flash small tweaks like beats audio, etc, and safe strap won't let me flash to the non-safe side.

Just for giggles did you go into a custom desktop or launcher and hit hide status and back on just to give it a toggle? Not sure at all that would work but might save a flash... just might. Although it seems to me that you might have just had a bad flash. Usually a data reset and reflash will cure this...

I had the same issue after flashing a custom battery meter and toggles. The only way I got the bar back whats reflashing current rom. No data wiping just flash over the top and it it came back.

But so that you know, all the mods like 1% battery won't work due to system being odexed.

+1 Since you're not using a ROM just use bootstrap
