Google Now On Aosp Ics Roms.....

Any phones running AOSP roms can be modified to run Google Now....... Haven't tried it myself and I'm not experienced enough with Motorola devices to know roms installed using safestrap would still be able to run this or if that makes a difference at all with modifying build.prop files but I just figured some of the geniuses here could figure out a way to make it work!

I'm on Hashcode's flashable 211 stock rom & it installs fine following the instructions, it just hangs at initializing & prompts to retry. But it does open.....

Does that mean it works or, it doesn't.

Hicks.... I'm speechless..... Your amazing, if only we could hurry up and get the fastboot files for 211 so we can have some bootstrap roms haha
Meh, safestrap is better in my opinion, but you don't really NEED the fastboot files lol. We have a fastboot-ish method for getting everyone back on stock 211 if something was to happen. Feel free to install with bootstrap but I cannot promise you won't have any issues.

I know you can't guarantee it to work with bootstrap so that's why i try not to clutter up the forum with issues that arise from installing the newest roms with bootstrap...... I hate to say it but i think with the inclusion of google now working i might go to the dark side and start using safestrap lol..... After i try bootstrap first of course haha
Make sure you have a backup plan first!

try safestrap first. once you get the hang of it, it's fairly simple.

Wish that worked. Think there's incompatibility with the api's on the stock 211.

Well it's supposed to be on an AOSP ICS build. Not a skinned build.
