thanks for clarifing aliceics. have you noticed a difference in battery life and gps signal with either 214 or 215?

I haven't used GPS since I was actually on the .79 leak :P So I can't help you there.

But since installing .214 the battery life seemed the same or minimally better. I'm actually working on installing .215 now.

I'm getting strange battery usage, when at home (where there is solid signal) I get almost .181 GB battery life with my screen off settings, but when at work (weak service, but not showing any time without service on .214 where I would get 3-6% TWS on .211 and .181) I'm getting pitiful, upwards of 50% the screen off battery life that I get at home.

Its almost like the .214 kernel varies the antenna wattage to boost signal in weak spots and lowers it to a "happy medium" when in areas of strong service.

I had the same results, I rsd back to 211 then installed 215 today. Gonna see if it helps.

Then again, my battery life didn't get really bad till I installed google now. Coincidence? Probably not!

UPDATE- I did this the other day to my razr maxx and cant believe how good the battery lasts. I also installed the eclipse rom and it looks awesome. The only thing I seem to be missing is the ability to stream media from the device to my samsung tv. I could do this before I installed the eclipse rom. But I tried a ton of apps from the play store and the only one that works is "I media share lite". Before I did this update my phone took about 7 hour to charge! now it takes about 2 hours and lasts all day even with downloading apps and talking and texting. Thanks again for this. I suggest you watch the video and then restart it and do step by step cause if you don't do exactly what the directions say it won't work.. E.
By the way I'm using google latitude and an app called backtitude and the settings are set to every 5 minutes to fire an update for my location. My kids Like seeing where I am on the map. I'm a truck driver and I also seem to get a much better signal now I'm on 6.16.211

Ok so I followed the directions to the T. After .214 was installed on the stock phone I decided to root the phone. I followed the second video's instructions and got to where MTP was enabled. I clicked option 1 but got an error message, device not found. I checked debugging was enabled. I also checked and saw that .214 was installed properly. Sorry for the noob question but I'm stuck and any help would be appreciated.

Do you have the latest Motorola drivers installed?
