So I left my razr outside after fireworks fun woke up went outside and got it hit menu unlock screen came on battery was at 6% brought it back in put on charger looked at some emails read the forums...meanwhile my wife says it downpoured for a bit. I was like oh, phone works fine..so put on nightstand couple hours later it was dead been in bag of rice since. No insurance..Using old og droid until payday guess ill check swappa for a deal:(

Well don't give up on it. I dropped my g2x in the toilet and it came back after 18 hours of rice.

After a few hours in rice i plugged in and charging screen came on went to put on different charger and nothing....counting on the rice

I think the lesson for all of us is to never lay your phone down anywhere. Keep it in your pocket.

I'd leave it in rice a couple days before trying to power it on. Might have put the nail in the coffin if there was still moisture inside.

Yea dude....dont touch it for a few days.....

It MIGHT work if you let it dry out completely and then try to power it on and charge. But if you try to power on too soon, what might not have been fried, WILL get fried if there's moisture still in it.

That sucks man, hope you can find a good deal. I know the razr is really resistant but I guess overnight and then trying to charge/power up before completely dry probably Did it. For anyone that thinks their razr might have moisture inside just leave the phone off and put it in rice for a couple days at least. I know it is hard to wait but it's really your only choice at that point.

Insurance is overrated....$8 month X 12 months that would take me to work and back for 2 weeks...I'll work a 12 on Sunday and buy me a brand new phone no big deal.
