So I understand that with the 9.30.1.xt926 system version and the 9.8.1q-94.1 build I can't root now and I can't go back to a previous version. But with the update before the latest one I was able to put the phone back to absolute factory build with the droid 1.21 utility. Why can I not do that at all now?
noob needs explanation

Like John said, "they" made it so you can't downgrade. However, you can still FXZ to your most current build, if you need to.

Last I knew we were still waiting for the newest update's FXZ files.

It thought there was a .94 update was posted on SBF. I know there's a .1 DST build on Batakang. If they have that, there has to be a FXZ somewhere.

Hmm.. I honestly could be wrong. We're talking about so many phones now it's confusing. Especially for phones I don't own. Haha... Good problem to have.
Edit: You are correct .94

You're not kidding, I'm only into three, but I can't keep track. The way moto and VZW do things doesn't help at all, either.
