I was planning to buy a Droid Razr HD. Getting it for a good price at ebay. Prior to buying I decided to do some reading and have some questions.

The phone has the system version 9.18.94.XT926.Verizon.US

What modding options I have with that.
Root.?
Unlocking BL.?

It might help me decide whether buy it or not.

While its always good to have an HD ..... as of right now the modding options are pretty much nil with that system version.... unless it has been unlocked prior to getting the new update..... sorry

Thanks for prompt reply.
I thought I might root it at least. I've never lived with an unrooted phone.
Any chance of a root exploit in near future.?

Be aware that just because there is s bounty that someone will do it. It's a gamble not an eventually kind of thing. The she of the device is not helpful either in this regard as many of those that would have been interested in doing so have moved on to newer devices. Just FYI.

Yeah ! I understand that.Just hoping it might happen.
Apart from that I guess its a good phone esp for the price I'm getting it.

It's a great phone, especially at the price it is now. Plus 4.4 was announced by Motorola to be coming... eventually, but we'll see. Just be prepared to replace it in a year or two because the hardware, while excellent for it's day, is showing some age. I also suggest the Moto G if your willing to spend a tad more as it is sure to be Google's pet project through Motorola and will be seeing as much love as the Moto X I imagine. Tapped via Tapatalk
