HOTPLUG vs HOTPLUGX

Could anyone explain which is better and why? (Am looking to improve battery life while keeping as much performance as possible).

Thanks in advance!

From what I understand, hotplugx will turn the second core on and off a lot quicker. That's about it.

I just use SetCPU to do this instead when I turn off the screen.
