this puts no good. Since we can't manipulate the kernel, we can't change cpu values. Rendering setCpu invalid until then I believe.

Sent from my Razr Maxx, just because I wanted this title on tapatalk.

No, the options to change CPU frequencies and up threshold, down differential, down threshold, hotplug out sampling, hot plug in sampling are all still valid in any CPU control app that supports it. What we can not do is edit the code of the kernel which breaks Moto's signature and then flash it in.

I've got the same issue with the Android OS running away with the phone. It's only since flashing the 214 kernel though.
Have you done a factory reset? Wipe cache as well.. I heard this helps fix many issues...I'm sure you already did this though hope it helps bro...

I was on the .211 OTA leak and rooted, would get about 6.5 - 8 hrs of battery life with normal use before I hit about 25-30% and would put it on a charger. I just loaded .214, still rooted, running stock rom 2 days ago....same type of usage and I'm getting between 8-10hrs before I hit about 25%, and the system definitely seems snappier!

Thanks!!

I would say just flash the .214 kernel. It takes about 20 seconds to do. I want to say I have better battery life but who knows could just be all in my head. My OCD makes me just need the highest build available...

I was wondering how the signal reception was on .214? Ever since I had ICS the signal seemed kid of poor.

Are you talking about the dBm? Or are you talking about the signal bars, because ICS gets the same signal, it just displays it as getting lower signal.

I was refering to the dBm. Before ICS I was getting like low 70's and now getting low 80's .

Edit: forgot to mention that there is a noticeable difference when using phone. 3g often kicks down to 1x and when on 3g it seems kinda slow or just stalls all together.

I have had an increase in coverage (former dead or spotty zones are solid now) but am seeing yet a further drop off in battery life, with the smart actions I have setup on .181 GB I could screen off idle at a rate of 1% battery per 3 hrs (give or take 5 minutes), on .211 running Ikream 2.0 ROM I would get about 2.5 hrs per 1% of battery with the same settings and now with .214 on the same ROM, i'm down to about 2 -2 hrs 10 mins. per 1% of "idle", But I will say with each update my coverage has gotten stronger.

.215 battery seems good to me. Maxx though. Does seem better than .214.
