I've flashed a ROM before, but what I did was after enabling safestrap, I made a backup and then wiped all of my data before flashing my ROM. And when I wanted to go back to my stock ROM, I restored my backup and disabled safestrap.

I want to know if I need to make a backup every time I flash a ROM, or if enabling safestrap will keep everything there. I heard it's supposed to be like a second system, so flashing should be able to be done without making a backup, right? I understand it's always good to have at least one backup, but do I need to make one every time? Sorry if the question isn't clear enough.

if you have a rom, id make a backup and then wipe, flash a new rom. i export them to my pc and rename them with the rom it is. you cannot have spaces in the name or an md5 mismatch may occur.
a what? an android? whats that?

I rename from the phone but only the main folder. Makes it easy to distinguish roms

Use that utility to get back to stock 181, then go to ... settings/about phone/system updates, and download the OTA update. Install it when prompted.
