First of all, thanks for reading this thread! I am kind of in a bad spot with my phone. There was a picture that was accidentally deleted off my phone (I believe it was on the internal memory) and now I need to get it back. I have searched high and low and basically I have come up short on everything. This is my first post on this forum and it looks like this website will be my best bet to get an answer (hopefully!)
I hate the fact that motorola did away with USB mass storage in JB. This wouldn't be a problem at all if they didn't. So my questions are:
Is there any way you guys know of to put my phone in a USB mass storage mode? This way I can scan the internal memory with data recovery software and get my picture back.
If this is not possible, then second question:
Is there a working root for my phone? I am running 4.1.2 with system version 9.18.94 and it is stock. From what I have read so far, I cannot unlock the bootloader. I don't care if I can unlock the bootloader or not. I just want my phone rooted so I can run the Disk Digger app to scan the internal memory on my phone and get my picture back.
If you guys have any other suggestions on how to scan my internal memory on my phone (basically it has to be assigned a drive letter in windows in order for it to work) then I am all ears! I would be willing to scan it in windows, or in an app that somebody knows of. Either way I cannot scan it with the ridiculous MTP protocol that motorola is now using. It HAS to have a drive letter to work. Thanks for all the hard work you guys put into rooting these phones! I hope I can get an answer to my problem!
