Does anyone know if this update will destroy FoxFi hotspot capability?

Thanks in advance!

Rooted back. FoxFi works.

Don't know why a seemingly unrelated update would destroy root.

Glad you got it going. Almost always an OTA with cause you to lose root.

Anyone having issues with SafeStrap? I've been off the forum for a while, but remember hearing that the "next" (i.e. this) update would break SafeStrap.

Awesome forum.  Glad I checked before doing update.  I used My Backup Pro to backup Apps and Data, and set SuperSU to Survival mode to keep root on my rooted XT912.  Then I successfully installed update 98.72.165.en.us.  Root is still there.

I tried to use OTA RootKeeper and backed up my superuser file/root file. Temporarily unrooted and tried to install the update. It begins to install and suddenly get the downed Android with the exlamation point. Even tried to install using twrp recovery and still failed. Is there any possible way to correctly install it?

Which ROMs will work with this update?  I tried aviator and it did not work (No signal or 4g) and could not get into the hidden menu to change settings.

Can I undo this update or will that fail because of the locked bootloader?

You can roll back using matt's utility or House of Moto...... With aviator.......did you wipe cache and dalvik cache (after booting the first time ) then reboot ?.... That should have cleared up the data / signal issue......

Ahh, well I guess I can backup and try it again rather than rolling back.  Plenty of slots left.  I think I wiped cache and dalvik before I booted the first time rather than after.  With this minor update it wouldn't matter if I roll back or not when flashing another rom right Flashing the rom would essentially roll it back anyways or would the radio remain updated?
