OK, so I have a RAZR m (not the phone I'm using now which as you see is a maxx hd) but I'm trying to install cyanogenmod stable Verison. I was rooted on 4.1.1 an wanted to unroot so I used mattlgroff 1.20 utility to flash stock 4.1.2 but realizing how sweet this tool was I rooted again unlocked the bootloader flashed an cwm. I downloaded the proper, cm 10.3.1-xt907 and the signed g-apps put them both on the root of my sdcard via MTP, boot in to recovery, factory reset, but when I go to install the cm .zip file it says;
Installing update:
Update aborted:
I've tried formating my sdcard and reinstalling the files on my computer i DO have root access. I also tried ROM manager it fails with that as well I've also tried it using TWRP. I humbly need help! I've really looked an can find no one else with this problem so I'm sure its some stupid error on my part. Some guys say safestrap is better haven't tried that yet I guess...
Thanks in advance

First off, you will need to use twrp or cwm to install cm, you cannot install it as an update in stock recovery. Secondly there are many different reasons it could have failed on you when you did try twrp. Bad download, old twrp, etc.

I might try direct download to ROM manager...you know like on cyanogenmod downloads there an option you click the little cwm emblem I think you do it in your phone browser an it sends it directly to ROM manager. I use my neighbors WiFi so its not real fast so I could be getting a bad download I guess although I re-downloaded it like 5 times a least, hard believe its bad every time Sent from my DROID RAZR HD using Tapatalk

You might need to flash the newer CWM. A lot of the new ROMs won't flash on older versions.
