Since I upgraded to ICS about a month ago, sending and receiving picture texts in Text Messaging or VZMessaging apps has not worked.
Always pending or downloading, then timesout.
Reinstalled VZMessaging a few times..

I had this problem on my thunderbolt I just downloaded gosms and it started working again.
