Razr Back Button Query

I wonder if it's possible to develop a script or something that will force apps to close upon pressing the back button or maybe long-pressing the back button. That way, we wouldn't have to go into app manager to close them down every time.

Cherry pick the code from AOKP. Any AOKP based ROM will have this option as well.

Cherry pick the code from AOKP. Any AOKP based ROM will have this option as well.


I didn't know one existed. Is it a script?

Any CM9 or aokp ROM does this, in the developer section of settings. I too would love this on moto based roms.

Yeah, i'm not really sure what "destroy every activity as soon as the user leaves it" option does that's in the ICS developer options.

I'm talking about on CM9 and aokp, not stock.

I followed what you were saying. I was just wondering why that option didnt work on stock.

Correct, cm or AOKP both include in under developer options holding the back button force kills an app.

As far as the code, I'm sure t wouldn't be hard to dig out. But it's probably easier to just run a cm9 rom, like Jekyll CM9
