And here we go....!
nobreak: Name, Rank, and Serial Number please:
jp: Hello there, my name is Jacob, rather known as jp1044..
nobreak: What is your claim to fame in the Android community?
jp: I am the developer of the Speedlite series and DARKSP33D ROMS for the Droid Bionic.
nobreak: Tell us a bit about your development background:
jp: It all started back when I got my Bionic, about 3 months back. I was bound to be a crackflasher from the beginning. I was flashing ROMS to my heart's content until finally settling on Eclipse 3.0.
nobreak: When did your itch to develop hit you?
jp: When the first ICS leak was leaked. That's when things started to get a little crazy in the Bionic-sphere. The early ICS ROMS that had come out that were based on what we had of Gingerbread had broken cameras and flaky data.
nobreak: Yeah, things got stale back then. What were you hoping for?
jp: When the ICS leak came out, development sprung back to life. For a while, I was just fine flashing ROMS and rocking the same one for weeks at a time. Then the ROMS came more quickly, and I started to flash new roms on almost a daily basis.
nobreak: So many ROMs and so many choices can get a bit confusing?
jp: I started to feel that feeling that I couldn't find the right ROM for me. I also felt that I needed to give back to the community like all the other developers were doing.
nobreak: Tell us a bit about how you accomplished that task...
jp: I sat down one day, and looked up some simple guides on how to make my own ROM.
Awesome.....I'll stop the questions and you take the helm...tell us about it.
jp: I asked SPJESTER, who I had been testing ROMS for on a regular basis, about any tips he might have for me. Now, he did answer all of my questions, even the most stupid and outrageous ones. Eventually, I came up with my first ROM, SpeedLite. It was based on CM9 and had everything I wanted in a ROM.
It was on August 20th that I posted SpeedLite 1.0, the first new ROM in quite some time. It was an instant hit.
I was so encouraged by the feedback of SpeedLite that I made another rom, SpeedLite AOKP.
Then one day in the DroidRzr chatroom, T3T3droid posted a new theme he was working on, and I liked it, a lot. I told him I would be interested in putting his theme in one of my ROMS. He agreed and we got to work. After a long week of developing, failing, and tweaking, DARKSP33D was released.
It was a rare triple developer ROM, including T3T3droid, Leviathan26, and myself.
I am pleased to say that I worked alongside so many great developers in this community like mattlgroff, tehsusenoh, sonofskywalker3, and all the other developers out there. Another developer that I would like to thank is SPJESTER who answered all my stupid questions and helped get me started into the ROM building world.
And thanks to all of my testers for my ROMS: mtbrgeek, kc69, freddy0872, SlimMan, ax562, and anyone else I might have forgotten.
Thanks jp1044 for your time. Your talent shows sir.
It seems to me that a lot of people in the community come up with "teams" with cool names. Nothing wrong with that. I just like how here, at droidrzr.com, there is a different dynamic with the developers....pure collaboration and no ego trips.
The community thanks you all for that.
Nuff said.

What do you do for fun? (Besides Android)
Tell us about your first Android phone.
And and old forum I use to post at always had this question, which I thought was cool.
"What question do you want to ask the next featured member?"
Something to think about for your next community spotlight
