There's a reason so many of us are faithful to Moto even with the lies and locked bootloaders. They are hands down the kings of making a high quality phone. The only competition they have really seen from phone enthusiasts was pre-smart phones when Nokia had some amazing devices and Moto got onto its last Razr tangent.

I got my s3. The actual phone is awesome. I still love the RAZR. But I wouldn't go back. Although I dropped this thing 8 inches and cracked the screen already. On my RAZR I dropped it 3 times in 5 minutes from waist high without a scratch or case. Both are awesome phones though. There are lots of pros and cons to each phone.

I preferred the feel of the maxx better as the sg3 is so thin. I may get a larger battery/cover to make it fatter and easier to handle.

I love my wife's gs3, and I'd drop this in a heartbeat for it! I'm not saying there's anything wrong with the maxx (aside from the damn bootloader), but the s3 is just far superior in my opinion... But that's my opinion. I wish my wife's was the opposite, but she agrees :-/

Yeah, the RAZR is climbing up to its 1 year birthday. The specs on the galaxy s3 are better all around. But not by much.

It's a sizeable difference if you ask me. Twice the ram, larger hd display, not an ounce of lag in the thing, the integrated lte radios make a world of difference with battery life, the camera is sooo much faster and takes noticeably nicer pics, nfc, etc. The radios are on par with my maxx too. There have even been times my wife has had signal when I haven't :- What's up with that moto?

My $0.02 and while I know it kinda doesn't matter because of the rom options but if I had to choose between blur and touchwiz, I'd take blur ANY freaking day over the touchwiz UI. Touchwiz is without a doubt the worst android overlay out there. Hell, some people even prefer HTC Sense, but me. I played with the SSGS3 for 5 minutes and the touchwiz overlay makes me want to puke. I do have a GNex as well as my Razr and a Nexus 7 but both of those are AOSP an have no manufacturer UI. I did purchase a Samsung Galaxy Tab 2, but I put that thing on CM10 as soon as it dropped.

I would likely de-Touchwiz or put aosp on it anyway, but I think I would rather even have Touchwiz. While there's a lot of it that's gimmicky, there's a lot that's useful. I personally don't find much blur useful, and I despise sense! I guess it's just personal preference :-)

Either way, even with the Touchwiz, it doesn't slow the device down one bit. It's snappy as hell!

I would rather just have a top of the line nexus with a kick arse camera ;-) Maybe an s4 pro processor, 2gb ram, 4.8" screen, 2500mah removable battery, SDCARD SLOT! etc...

Like that LG Nexus rumor, looking good, and I'd jump on that in a heartbeat... Now if it wasn't for my damn contact as I'm doubting it will be on vzw :-/

Welcome. I have the razor maxx it a great smartphone but the radio signal is crappy. I live in a great area for service with VZW..
