its me again downloaded the newest utility app for droid razr maxx hd  saved it to the desktop and followed the instructions but when i drag the unzipped file over this is what i get:

Matt-Lindseys-MacBook:~ mattlindsey$ /Users/mattlindsey/Desktop/DROID_RAZR_HD_Utility_1.20.zip
-bash: /Users/mattlindsey/Desktop/DROID_RAZR_HD_Utility_1.20.zip: cannot execute binary file
Matt-Lindseys-MacBook:~ mattlindsey$

Unzip the utility and only drag the file with the .sh extension into the terminal.

Not a problem at all, that's what this community is here for.Make sure that the LinuxMacUtility.sh file is still in the same folder as the other files it needs access to that were in the zip. I.E, don't move anything from its extracted location.

Hmmmmmm it does not seem to be recognizing adb.... just to make sure, you didn't move the .sh file out of the extracted folder?...... and in terminal you did CD to the extracted folder right.....?

Edit.....
Ninja'd by obeygiant LOL...... at least we are still hitting the same answers :)

Also, I just realized that I'm not the author of this script and have never used it. Open the files folder and make sure that there is in fact a file called "adb.osx" You may need to chmod +x the folder, as well

I think I had some issues with another member on 32 bit but we eventually got it to work....if I recall correctly. I had no issues on my MBP 64 bit.

Need to eat dinner, but will check back to see if my comrades helped you out.

Are you sure you extracted the files and they are all in that directory?

Like I said, I need to make dinner and eat and then go to class from 6:40 to 7:40 PDT. If you dont have it resolved by then I can try and help.

Maybe a TeamViewer session would be helpful....but also as I said, I am pretty sure I ran into some problem with another 32 bit user

Alright, since Ive had a couple of beers and my sensei at the dojo would kick my a$$ if I came to class and disrespected him or the dojo, I will just have another beer and see if I can help you out.

Give me a few minutes....in the meantime please download TeamViewer version 8 just in case I need to take control :)

Question what ls parameter did you use to get that output.....it sort of seems your not in the right directory.....

do: ls -l

do: pwd

do: whoami

I usually do everything as root, so then I dont need to sudo....

Ok, now looking at the script it does seem to need a fastboot.osx32 executable.....maybe the one from the xt912 utility will work....I will upload to dropbox and google a bit
