A 5 slot cpu basically allows another slot for frequency. A four slot CPU has 300, 600, 800, and 1000 Mhz slots by default if I remember correctly. A five slot CPU allows for an extra 1200 MHz CPU frequency. Hence, some people only have 1.0Ghz on the ICS leaks and some people have 1.2Ghz.

So I have a four slot correct? What exactly does this mean for me? I have been on 1.2 since the ICS leaks by default

What causes the amount of slot? Hacking? Or software written that way? Or is it a hardware thing?

Thanks everyone

None of that makes sense since you said 5 slots allow 1200 and 4 slots only allow 1000. But as above said he has 4 slots and has been running 1200? So what gives there?

You can manually do it, but those with 5 slots got it automatically with the ICS update. Look up Droid Bionic Overclock or Tweakerz on Google. You should find instructions.
Just having fun with Android!

There is a kernel panic done during the ICS update during install in stock recovery. If your processor can handle the 5 slot bump then it rewrites the boot IMG.

Could some unlucky person (me) have a two slot phone? I checked it with AdroMizer Pro and it only showed two slots. Should I have used MotoMizer instead?

I love the fact that I can have GB,ICS, and JB With just a couple of taps. I for 1 am 1 happy flasher. And who care if Verizon has or is gonna update to Jb. This is much better. Verizon Could learn alot from us testers. Just saying.
