I actually forgot to do that the first time i used SS. Tried for a while to figure out what I was doing wrong till I slowed down and read everything. Sometimes its the simple things we overlook.

The OP says to move the safestrap files to the external SD, is that the same as deleting them?

Try reinstalling your rom. (I did the same thing. It brought it back up with pretty much everything the way it was with exception to a few things the rom re-install overwrote.)

I have a question for you...why did you delete your Folders? the OP says Move to ext....then remove apk

  • You will want to move the entire “/sdcard/safestrap” directory to the external SD card (/sdcard-ext). These are your backups and in a catastrophic situation you could revert to Safestrap v2 and use them.
  • Go into the existing version of Safestrap and use the “Remove Recovery” button to remove the Safestrap files from the stock /system.
  • And lastly, remove the APK from the device as you would any other app.
