The Bionic Will Get Jellybean!

Motorola just posted this on Twitter and thought I would share some thoughts I had about it. This chart outlines what phones are eligible for the $100 credit that we get if our device isn't getting Jelly Bean. Well, we don't see the Bionic there do we? This can mean one of three things: 1. We are getting Jelly Bean 2. Motorola hasn't added the Bionic to this chart 3. We don't get our $100 credit. Obviously we are all hoping that we are getting Jelly Bean, and Motorola could have just dropped a huge hint about it. But alas, don't get too excited as Motorola has every right to update this chart whenever they feel.
EDIT: BIONIC JB UPDATE HAS BEEN CONFIRMED IN COMING MONTHS! WE GOT JELLY BEAN FOLKS!

Its funny that the Xyboard 8.2 wifi is on that list now as ICS being sent out. I just sold mine this past tuesday and it didn't have ICS on it yet. Go figure that it would get the update after i get rid of it. The Nexus 7 was worth the sale of the Xyboard even though I did love that tablet.

Remember what happened when we believed "early Q3"?
Although, I suppose that a release in October 2013 is still a coming month - just taking a long time to get here

The crappy part about that rumor is how many lapdocks were purchased? And now they're dropping one of the key reasons why we bought the damn things.
I was going to get a lapdock but now that I know this Im not gonna get one...

So glad to hear that it is coming. They are dropping webtop in the JB build so it won't take nearly as long to develop the next OTA and VZW can't cop a fit about Flash this time around so that's two speed bumps already out of the way.
They are dropping webtop support and future development, but I see no reason to think they would drop webtop from the JB build. They included it in the ICS build after all. It shouldn't be a big deal to just leave version 3.0 in place with no changes.

I'm just guessing but JB brought more butter, aka display changes. I imagine there would be some coding and testing involved to make JB and webtop work together.

I doubt that they will remove webtop from JB entirely -- it just won't be supported IMO. But even if they do remove it, lapdocks should still work in HDMI mirroring mode, I would think.

You're right about future development. I don't remember where I was reading that it wouldn't be in JB but either way if they cut it or keep it, it is no longer a road block on the path to JB.
