Hi all,

I was going to create a boot animation for a theme I'm working on, but I became distracted and created this instead!

I thought I would share just in case someone is looking for something like this.



NOTE: The colors in the .gif above are slightly distorted as you can probably tell. The real animation is a little smoother in color than this.

Installation:
The easiest way to install this is to use Root Explorer.

• Download the file:

  Please Login or Register to see this Hidden Content

• Copy the file and navigate to /data/local (this will mean the stock boot animation in /system/media will remain unchanged). Paste it.
• Once pasted under /data/local, tap and hold on file. Go to Properties and change permissions to: rw- r-- r--. Press OK.
• Reboot and enjoy!

I've got a question for you JaeKar99, have you encountered bootloops of the boot animation? Upon flashing a new boot animation I created, it works perfect the first time you start up, but if I reboot the phone it gets stuck on the boot animation and I have to restore a backup from before I flashed.

Any ideas?

I have only run it through one boot... I will tease it apart as see if I can find anything...

No problem, glad you can use it!

I wouldn't say "amazing," that is what I would use to describe JaeKar99's animations! He is the boot animation king and helped me a lot!

Just a quick note: I put up a new link in the OP. This animation will loop the Homer Simpson part of the animation (Not sure why I didn't do this in the first place ).
