Sell My Maxx Hd?

I bought a Razr Maxx HD one week ago today...and I love it! But I would really like to get a developer edition...
So...I figure, I see these going on eBay for upwards of $600...which could allow me to afford a dev edition.
But--if I do that...I'll be losing the awesome 3300mah battery. Granted the regular HD has a 2530mah which is definitely superior to the old RAZR...and is really only 770mah smaller than the Maxx HD battery...
But I can't seem to decide on my own what to do...so I seek the advice of you kind folks in the DroidRzr community...what should I choose?
3300mah battery, locked boot loader
Or
2530mah, Unlockable developer model
I know the changes are good we'll end up with a custom recovery such as Safestrap, or (dare I hope?) Kexec...but that's besides the point.
And I am sure time will run out on my decision sooner than later, as the resale value of the Maxx HD will go down, and/or the dev edition could become sold out...
So...any thoughts?

To Me Dev > Maxx
But to each their own. I can always recharge my battery, I can NEVER unlock the bootloader though.

This is a brilliant idea actually. I can still get myself a maxx hd for upgrade price. But I can't a Dev for upgrade price. Actually, Amazon has Maxx HD's for $100 than everywhere else. At $199. So maybe, I'll buy a Maxx HD, sell it and use the cash to move up to a Dev HD. Brilliant sir!

i thought the same thing but decided on buying the razr hd developer edition. plus i dont want to lose my unlimited data. im not worried about the battery because im sure a few months down the road you'll be able to buy the 3300mah battery and backplate from ebay and ill just crack open the phone and switch it out since the developer edition has no warranty anyway.
You guys are both geniuses! I thank you for your advice, and I think I need to photograph my Maxx HD lol

Obviously, you only void the warranty of you unlock it, which I'm guessing anyone that buys a dev edition would do. However, you've only voided the warranty. That doesn't mean it cannot be fixed or replaced at a reasonable cost. I would assume that Moto will have the same policy with these dev editions that they do with other phones and have a $125 or so repair/swap out fee. Granted, I have no proof of that, but it would only make sense for them to want to keep the developers happy. One small worry though...see, if I buy the dev edition, and something odd goes wrong, such as headphone jack doesn't work, and I've unlocked the phone...I'm SOL even if the defect is entirely on Moto's end and has nothing to do with anything I've done...and after my old Maxx had a headphone jack die on me...I consider this a relevant point...

I don't think so. You may have seen me mention something to that effect in another thread, but I had bad information at the time and have since corrected it.Correct me if I'm wrong but it was my understanding that Moto plans on releasing the Maxx HD Development edition as well
