...consolidating the downloads from the entire site is a good idea (and hopefully it works as planned).....how will that work for those of us that upload utilities etc? Will we no longer upload to places such as dev-host, 4shared, mediafire etc.etc and just upload directly to [*whatever the DROIDRZR server will be*]? ... and the links in each of the forums/threads will point to the new downloads section?......

An idea would be maybe to limit the proper users access to the "storage" location, for their utilities or such software within the download section. So they could login, remove the old file, and input the new "STABLE" version within it's place. So there wouldn't be multiple threads within the download section for the same utility. And they would remove the old software, so that wasn't wasting space. Just an idea, not sure how in-depth you're wanting to go with it. But would be nice instead of like they kind of do the roms, and put new links in. This would be them doing the same i reckon, without new links.

I wouldn't change much as far as organization is now.. Have developers post where they typically post there ROMs and Apps topics now then have there download links redirect to your download forum. I would lock all the download posting in your forum to ensure that there isn't multiple threads being posted about the same topic causing mass confusion. Each posting in your download forum should have a condense version of the description, install instructions and a redirect back to the topic discussion forum. That way members will have the option to go directly the download forum if they already know what they are looking for or check out the topic forum and then be shot over to the download section so they know where to find it in the future.

Your download forum should be setup similar to how the rest of the forum is setup now..

---->ROMS and Themes
---->Apps
---->Tools and Utilities
->Razr (GSM/UTMS)
---->ROMs and Themes
---->Apps
---->Tools and Utilities
->BIONIC
---->and so forth....
