I installed an SD card from my old phone into my RMaxxHD, which seemed to be recognized by the phone. However, I am unable to move pics, apps, etc. to the SD card. Any ideas? Does the SD card need to be formatted for the new phone? If so, how to do this?
Thanks!
what size sd card and what class. this does make a difference. if its 32 or 64 than you shouldnt be above class 4 sometimes it wont even read that its there.
this is caused by the speed of the sd card itself. so this is one possibility

I have to disagree with you here VK, I got a Class 10/UHS-1 64 GB in my Razr, and it works fine after I properly formatted it (that wasn't quite fun, but only have to do it once)what size sd card and what class. this does make a difference. if its 32 or 64 than you shouldnt be above class 4 sometimes it wont even read that its there.

I believe the issue instead lies with the way the SD Card is formatted. An older phone may have slight formatting differences, or something corrupted.

I would lean more towards a bit different formatting..... That just happened to my wife... She "borrowed" our daughter's sdcard and couldnt access anything unless she put it in the computer.... Once she formatted it in the razr tho... She had full access to the new files on it.... (daughters phone is a older style non android)
sent from my spare phone tapadriving........
