First of all, hello! I am relatively new to the smartphone game, having purchased my Bionic about 4 months ago. The droidrzr community has been a wonderful source of information to hep me learn the ins and outs of rooting, flashing and otherwise. I'm happy to be joining you all here.
My question today is if anyone has had a problem with their stock messaging app not showing contact pictures since the .246 OTA. I synced my Facebook contacts and their pictures only display in my contacts list, not messaging. I've since flashed Eclipse 1.2 and the problem carried over to the rom which must be because I used Titanium Backup to restore my contacts. I've searched Google for a solution to this but it doesn't seem to be a prevalent issue with the Bionic, but on HTC devices. None of their fixes have worked for me. It's a minor issue, but an irritating one indeed.

It's not what you want to hear but ChompSMS will automatically do that if you're willing to not use the stock messaging app.

I'd definitely prefer to stick with the stock app, but thank you for the tip. I may try it out. You'd think it would be as simple as a setting in the messaging app to display pictures synced from Facebook instead of from Google. I never had this problem with Gingerbread or the ICS leaks.

First check your setting to see if you have sync set, not Facebook setting, system setting. If you do un-check it then recheck it. You should see the sync icon start to swirl. It maybe take a bit on data side, on wifi I found it to work faster. If that doesn't correct it un-install Facebook and then reinstall it.

Ever since the ICS leaks I've had to resort to using HaxSync for FB contacts - since I bought the app, I continue to use it. If nothing else, that should work.
See for more details.

I like the fact that it has extra features built in if you want them and that you can turn them completely off if you don't.
Well worth a buck. Well worth 5 bucks, IMO....
Glad you like it
