I could be wrong but if you have init.d it runs it for you. :)
If you find otherwise let me know

Is the script in your init.d folder?
I personally have never run it this way. I have just ran the script in smanager and set it for boot.
Your method is probably better.

YEAH THE INSTALLATION SCRIPT PUTS IT INTO YOUR INIT.D FOLDER AND I BELIEVE IT INTEGRATES INTO YOUR INIT.RC ALSO

Your correct. I just ran it. My method was old...it was when I was on Gingerbread and didn't have init.d support. Sorry about the confusion.

i long ago thought to create a V6 guide as well- back when ICS leaks were young and people were still mostly ODEX'd. i've had v6 as a staple of my personal tweaking across several devices and it truly measures up every time. so here's my two cents on it:

-

!!! IF YOU RUNNING A ROM, THEN YOU NEED TO MOD YOUR OWN JAR!!!
PULL SERVICES.JAR FROM SYSTEM\FRAMEWORK AND GO HERE:

this will definitely work, but just to clarify, believe all ODEX ROMs (ie stock blur) require manual patching (or Jar Tools script). DEODEXed ROMs can be patched automatically through the V6 script itself.

zeppelin has released as a separate but necessary mod

: it is a Windows script that automates the entire process of pulling, patching and pushing services.jar back onto your phone. this will allow your launcher to achieve 100% supercharge at Die Hard setting. (technically, you can also just bulletproof your launcher within V6, but i've had nothing but trouble down the road doing that)

keep in mind that the higher "looking" settings are not always the best settings (even though they get more turbo sounding in name lol). having high min frees will kill off apps more aggressively than you may have wanted. bulletproofing seems to to be the answer but BPing too many RAM hungry apps defeats the purpose.

last but not least, MAKE SURE you do not have other apps such as Motomizer or ROM Toolbox overriding V6's min free values- and no matter what, DO NOT try to simply wipe V6 folders and init entries manually.. it will eventually lead you to an inevitable system reflash lol
