Every year at this time I get the itch for a new phone. Last year I got the razr Maxx. Don't get me wrong, this is a great phone. It would last anyone else to their contract end. Just not me, I get bored too easily.

I am looking to the Samsungs this year. I have always owned a Moto, I love their radios. But, I really like the GS III and/or Note 2.

I work at different sites and am always taking notes and such. But I can never keep paper and pen handy. I think this would be a great tool. I am just concerned with the screen and camera not being as good the GS III. My hope is that either one of these will keep my interest through my contract end. I have played with the gs iii and found it intriguing with the exception of the build materials. IDK. What do you guys think?

Yeah I hear ya man. I got an upgrade itching to be used. Coming from the OG Razr I can't see buying an HD. While it is a nice phone it's just not enough of a jump to use an upgrade. I was considering the SIII and waiting for the HTC Droid DNA. With the specs announced to I hate the 16G only internal storage and the small battery.

So right now I'm thinking the SIII. The note is just too big for me.

And with root and some roms, you get most all of the note 2 features with the nice screen size of the GSIII

Being a supervisor I take a lot of notes. I'm thinking of making the transition to Note 2 myself. My Maxx does ok, but i think the stylus would really help annotate notes. The larger display would also help. Just question the durability. I work in a rough, dusty environment. Also work long shifts away from power. I need battery life above all.

I went ahead and ordered the Note 2. Hope I won't regret this. I have had really good experiences with all of my Motorola handsets.

Will eventually give away my razor to a family member if I decide to keep the N2. Ordered a case from Siedio and Cruzelite and a screen protector from SPG.
This works out like I hope, this should help with my productivity at work. Will still have to carry my employers WORTHLESS BB for emails. :-(

The note 2 makes the razr look like a joke. I was surprised by how well this battery is. Fluent

the more and more i use this phone the more and i love it, i wish there was a way to draw on pics i take with out loading them into s note first. hopefully with next update some of the issues get fixed. But other than that battery life is great. For ie my og razr I watch football games monday n thurs the phone works be dead by 3rd quater. But last night watched whole game and still had 64% battery. Well im pretty happy

+1 on the Note 2. I have carried nothing but Motorola devices since my OG Droid. This thing is a beast, to say the least.

BTW, if you haven't heard, we also have root on the N2 now.

Or me to go from my Maxx that was great phone to the Galaxy that reception sucks. Either the No Sim error or just plain bad. Ive heard of some that dont have or havent had a problem. My small town must suck but the Maxx was great.

Well I have had my new phone for a week now, and have to say I am extremely happy with my decision. Yes, the radios are not as robust as a Motorola phone but close. This is a small trade off when considering everything else this thing does.

Battery life is on par with the razor maxx. Which I find pretty amazing given the screen size. The speed and fluidity of the system is so much nicer.

I have found the pen to be more useful than I first imagined. I am always taking notes, just have to remember to read them. I am rooted, debloated and a couple of other Mods Already.

The size was a little daunting at first. Thinking I was looking like an idiot with a phone this size to my ear. You know what, I don't care any longer. I have come up with up system to do most things one handed.

If you are in the market for a new phone do yourself a favor and give this serious consideration.

I have more bars in 4g with my note2 than I did with razr. Im holding onto razr for a bit but will prolly end up selling. It . Im much happier with a phobe that lasts all day. I dont tthink I've had tge phone below 40% yet lol
