I was frustrated that my paid apps would not show up sometimes so after flashing a new rom I decided not to let play install my apps and the paid ones I had issues I did not install with rom toolbox app manager or anything like that. here is what I did. It seems that the google issue might be changing the permissions which has things like themes in go sms and go launcher not showing up after a market install.
1. coppied the backups I had using a file manager (I like root explorer)
2. placed them in the system apps folder which is in data/apps when you first open root explorer
3. made sure permissions were r-r-w( in permissions checked for read checked owner group and others and for write i checked only owner)
4. rebooted into recovery
5. wipe cache and dalvic and rebooted
now all apps i paid for work..... hope it helps you too......
