I have a Droid Razr MAXX HD, rooted, and am trying to get 0.7.2 downloaded and installed so I can move on to the JB leak, however every time I try to update through settings I get the message "Check for update is not available at this time. Try again later."

I have tried to unroot using Voodoo's OTA Rootkeeper app, defrosting all frozen apps, and turning off wifi but the phone still will not connect to the update server. Any help would be appreciated!

Try turning off the phone, taking the 4G SIM card out and rebooting without the SIM in it. Then when rebooted let it sit for ~2-3 minutes then turn phone off, put SIM back in and reboot.

Have you tried finding the updater app in the list of apps in the settings? Clear the data if you find it then force stop it. Maybe that could work? Lol

Thanks again for the suggestion. I couldn't find the update service in the list, so I booted into recover, wiped my cache partition, and tried again without sucess. I'm trying to avoid a factory rest but I get the feeling that this is where I'm heading lol.

That's the next best thing before either

A) Getting a new SIM card from VZW

Or worse

B) Getting a device replacement through customer service lol.

I had this issue on another Motorola phone. I had to do a FDR to clear the issue.
