How are you going to run Ubuntu?  LiveCD, USB, ?  Just be sure to download the 32bit version 13.04.  Ubuntu is amazing in the drivers area.  Dave's post above looks simple - because it really is.  Just follow the instructions and don't be impatient.  It takes about 15 minutes.

How are you going to run Ubuntu? LiveCD, USB, ? Just be sure to download the 32bit version 13.04. Ubuntu is amazing in the drivers area. Dave's post above looks simple - because it really is. Just follow the instructions and don't be impatient. It takes about 15 minutes.

I'm debating if I want to set up a live CD or just install on a separate hard drive... Still thinking on it though.

Just do the live cd. Then once you are done, throw the cd in a drawer. Then get to Romming.  :)

Not really.

 

I was hoping it was a script with a bunch of fastboot commands, that I would understand.

 

I'm just dying to know what it is that it actually DID to my phone to achieve s-off.  I assume it blew the qfuses?

EDIT:  Nope, IDA won't help me.  I downloaded the v5.0 that is free, and unfortunately I do not know assembler.
