I have very low volume out of my ear speaker for sometime. Believing that its not software related (as I've been through all of the HOB ICS builds) and nobody else is reporting a similar problem, I bought a new speaker/front camera assembly and installed it. After getting no sound out of it and disassembling to find that I didn't fully seat the connector, I seated the connector, booted but the phone didn't boot past the word "Droid". I rechecked my work. Same results. I installed the original speaker and I booted right up. Sure seems like incomparable hardware, however, I just want to know if maybe the phone was busy with "new" hardware and I got impatient? Also is there a way like on windows to see exactly where it fails in the boot process? Any ideas? Anybody else replace the speaker and could send me a link to what worked for them, I'd try again. Thanks all for any help
