I'm also having some issues installing the latest CM12 (12/12). I'm using PhilZ CWM 6.0.4.7 and trying to install cm-12-20141212-UNOFFICIAL-moto_msm8960.zip. Every time I try to install it I get this message:

I posted in another thread and someone suggested that I have not update my bootloader to 4.4, but I could have sworn I had to do that to get to my current CM11 ROM.

Please excuse my ignorance but how would I go about checking my bootloader version? If it's not 4.4, how would I upgrade to 4.4?

Hm ok. To update to KK would I need to revert to stock and take an OTA update or is there a way to manually install that? Someone mentioned installing latest FXZ but I have no idea how to do that and haven't been able to find much helpful information.

Better to just to an FXZ flash. Lots of forums about how to do this stuff. Simple google search will show you

I have searched for a FXZ file but it seems all links are down, maybe someone is kind enough on here has it? Maybe a site admin has one? You need "VZW_XT926_4.4.2-KDA20.62-10_1FF.xml.zip"

I have zero ads, and to be honest, I would tend to be upset if I did.  I paid for the pro version way back when then they moved us all onto the free version.  Although, this new format is for the birds.

Did this fix the wifi and tethering issues that kk had?  And can you restore the old kk with no problems if lollipop doesn't work out?
