My dad has a Bionic on 6.7.246 and he uses that app FoxFi for the free WiFi tether, but now that the devs put a usage block after a certain amount is used, he has been complaining again.

I was curious if there was a hack that was released for the Bionic to work on 6.7.246? I hope so. :P

Once rooted you can get SQlite off of the play store for $2.99. Open it and allow su. Scroll down and find settings storage. Will be the one that starts with com. Motorola. The choose settings.db, then search button and type in "check" and hit enter. Change 79 entitlement check from 1 to 0 and reboot. Then you can use the native wifi hot spot to tether.

I just did this recently. I was rooted, but I was also using FoxFI. I think $6.99 is reasonable but why not hack it for for nothing.
BTW you don't need SQLite android, I used SQLite Explorer for PCB

you just need to move the .db file into a spot were you can edit it. Just make sure you reset the user rights back correctly.
