I am not sure who may want to know or not, but i just wanted to throw this out there.

Just for kicks and giggles I tried the current OC modules that we already have for ICS. All the modules, schedulers, and govenors that i have tried have worked so far.

hotplugX has issues

Currently Overclocked to 1350, and trying different govenors, and schedulers.

EDIT: So after some more tinkering i have found an issue. I am just playing with slot 4. Which is the max MHz. and using set cpu.
Once you set your value in slot 4 it does work, but if you lock your screen and then unlock the Max drops back down to default 1200mhz until you slide and adjust the max again and then it will go back to the value that you set previously.

EDIT #2: Thanks to user Razzrmaxx we have a temp work around that helps stick the Clock

one down fall you have to use SetCPU which is a paid app.

So lets get to it

1. Once you have the modules installed and you actually overclock go into SetCPU
2. go into the profiles section and enable profiles
3. add a new profile for screen on
4. set your max and min cpu speeds
5. make sure you check the box for persistent
(option: set cpu govenor also if you want)
6. set priority
7. save and make sure it is checked

after this is done you can just exit out and everytime your screen comes on SetCPU will make sure the clock is in place.

 PROFIT!!

I did it two different ways to see if I could get it to stick. The easy way to do it is just use the app that's in the thread I linked to in OP. or you can manually place the modules in /system/lib/modules and set permissions. Then open a terminal and manually insmod/echo commands as referenced in that thread as well.

I imagine we need new modules for jb, although it seems it should work on the 3.0.8 kernel. Would be nice for us og RAZR users to under volt a little.

What was done in the past was using an init.d script to set the clockspeed at boot. Otherwise they reset.

Yeah that's what I'm trying. But for some reason after screen off, it won't scale back to any speed that isn't stock. I used the same modules and script that worked in ICS.

Yup, the modules were written on our ICS kernel and some of the governors do work, some have issues with deep sleep. Being that the jb kernel is close they kinda work, but need to be redone. ;)

Okay it looks like the way init d works is a little different on jb than ics. I couldn't get Matt's installer to work so I tried an old zip I had from ics. Now I can't test Matt's cause my data cable died, and I'm waiting on a new one. At least I hope its the cable. Phone will charge, but it won't connect to any of my computers.

Hey guys. I uninstalled set CPU. Went to the market and downloaded motomizer. Then installed the one touch optimizer. Reboot, go to tools download and install kernel modules. Then change your CPU. I use the highest preset then up the maximum to 1350. Change gov to pegasus. IO to sio. Then I change the upload/ download to +2. Reboot. Works like a charm on every ROM I have ever had. JB or ICS. I put a comment about this in the app section but no one seamed to care

For me, the best options have been pegasusq & sio but it's a crap shoot on whether they stick or not, unless you're using init.d scripts. The only one I've heard of issues with is hotplugx.

I have had black screen issues with PegasusQ too. I just use hotplug. It give great battery life with comparable performance.
