I see on some roms that overclocking seems to be working. I still can't figure out what's up. Any luck anyone?

Which ROMs have it working? I'll look into it and see if I can figure it out.

I found a temporary way to make them stick... use setcpu and add a profile with the screen ON option checked plus the persist checked as well and it will keep it overclocked :)

Actually... the screen on doesnt really need to be priority 100... because if users set it as priority 100 and overclocking @ 1350 and the phone gets too hot you want another profile with less lets say 1000 or 800 so the phone can cool down... just make sure each one says exclusive... these are my profile i made with higher priority than screen on to save battery in this picture :)

QFT.

What I wouldn't give for a real OC/UV kernel...

There's actually a few things, but I really wish we had one.

Thanks to razrmaxx for the workaround, and just an FYI, setcpu used to be free for xda members. Don't know if it is still,

I am working on posting a noob version of this topic with some added tweaks and information and will link you guys to it when it is up and running.

I have created my own overclocking values and will provide extensive detail on how to install these modules and modify them to a user's liking using SManager.

Thanks goes to you and ZKK007 for his simple base modules.

Did he re-compile them to work on 4.1.2? Are are you talking about his own kernel which he added more freq steps too?

The OP link goes to whirleyes thread but I don't see any new modules :P

Go to the last page and he posted a download. They are for the mr1 kexec kernel. And he is also building a custom one as well.

I have to ask, why does everyone want to overclock so bad for lol?

Especially if you're on the OG RAZR.
