I bought a 64GB Sandisk XC1 card and I'm having all sorts of issues. -

Formatted it Fat 32 and it works for awhile but freezes up indexing 5000 songs.

It says 0.0 under SD card and even says blank or damaged card sometimes. It clears up with a power down and up though.

It long formats with error checking just fine on the PC and plays all my music in an SD adapter in my car just fine too.

Any ideas? I'm about to send it back for repair.

I've formatted it on the phone too and the same issue occurs.

Motorola phones do NOT support SDXC, I found this out the hard way. Stock AOSP, as far as I know, does not support SDXC either, the Samsung phones that do, have it baked in. See my thread and findings here:

Basically, we are limited to the Class 4 32GB SDHC cards, until SDXC is fully supported by Android, which hopefully will be soon.

You can format with this utility and it will recognize the card -

Be warned though it's not stable though...

Looks like you can format the card NTFS and use this app to mount it -

I have the same card and have had zero issues with it. When I first put it in it had an error. I selected format sdcard. It formatted it and has worked ever since. I have used 45gb of it's storage so far with music and movies.

You might have a bad card.
I have used the following card in Razr Maxx, Droid Bionic, Razr Hd and a Samsung S3:

I did not check the findings but I have heard multiple people say a class 6 works fine on there phones.

Unfortunately I don't think the 64gb Class 6 cards are for sale anymore (at least I haven't found any online). I originally formatted my Sandisk 64gb Class 10 card that I purchased off Amazon (from Sandisk) on my OG Razr, which worked fine for 2 days. Then every day I would need to use the aforementioned reboot to fix the "SD card damaged" errors. Using W7's disk utility, found by clicking 'Manage' on My Computer, I reformatted it to FAT32. I read that this method supposedly works all the time; it has worked perfectly fine for me. I have all my music on there and it's been working flawlessly for about 5 days now. (Black Widow JB on Razr HD; currently unable to confirm on OG Razr due to missing SIM card).

EDIT 2/8/13: The card failed again, I reformatted to NTFS and mounted using Paragon. Has been working flawlessly ever since! Only thing is with this method, you cannot use the card in Safestrap, as it won't mount without the Paragon app. So make sure you have your backups either on another FAT32 formatted card, or internal storage!

Same process for me on my bionic, it gave me the card damaged error. I formatted the card once in my phone and then once it remounted I formatted the card again for good measure!

Has worked flawlessly since and R/W speeds have been amazing.

I've never had this issue but one thing I noticed from my RAZR MAXX with ICS to MAXX HD with JB is multiple slots and the playback has errors, the music or video will freeze, probably when it's moving from one sector to another. I ordered the 32GB, maybe that one will work better for now. I'll post results on Thursday after I get my new one installed.
