How do I unroot to send back to Verizon?
I have jelly bean rooted and now I have to unroot and have no clue what to do!! Lol I'm at a loss here. I know how to temporarily unroot with voodoo but I need to permanently unroot.

You can use a file explorer (Root Explorer is what I use, and prefer). Go to the following directory:

/system/app

And delete the Superuser.apk or SuperSU.apk (likely the first one); then go to: /system/bin and see if the "su" (without quotes) binary is there. If not go to /system/xbin. It will be there. Delete that binary and reboot.

Keep in mind once you do this, there is no rerooting. May I ask why you are sending the device back? Or are you taking advantage of Verizon's replacement offering if you have problems with the JB update? Lol

Also...I believe if you have SuperSU there is an option to fully unroot your device. Not sure about the superuser app.

There is. So yeah to the OP if you have SuperSU installed and not the regular Superuser, you can do that too. That would be easier. If you have the normal Superuser app what I posted above is the way to do it.

I don't see anything but a red background. Is that what your screen shows?!

Oh my lord. You sure you aren't just viewing a picture in full screen?

Well the red screen is just part of the pixel test app. Its a series of different colors to see if there are dead pixels on your screen but originally I first saw the lines while on the Verizon website and I thought I was seeing stuff lol. Its these lines that aren't supposed to be there that I don't like at all. What do you think of the lines . I can only see them on red colored backgrounds.

I barely see them. I can't even really see that they are there. I feel stupid. LOL.

But yeah coming from what I can see its time for a replacement. You can use the phone normally right?

Maybe its harder to see on desktop but do you think a refurb model will be OK? I've never dealt with Verizon refurbished products

As long as you're not getting a DROID 3 you will be fine. Lmao. I only had one RAZR Maxx before getting rid of it. I've had good experience with them.

Motorola makes the best radios to date. Motorla has more experience in technology than most other manufacturers. Im confident you won't have many, if any issues with the replacement.

I own a Galaxy SIII and the signal hasn't been better or worse for the three ive had. Lol.
