On Christmas Eve we received the notice to upgrade our OS. While I wasn't able to get the OTA, I found it floating out there on the web, downloaded it, returned my phone to stock and then flashed to 4.1.2 (system version 98.72.8 XT912.Verizon.en.US).

Since this leap of faith I have found that I don't really like it, and maybe I should've waited for the official official release. There isn't a stock music app, only the Google Play. On top of that, there seems to be a lot of features and functionality I've seen on other Jellybean phones that isn't on mine at all.

So, the question... Can I go back to ICS and get back on the upgrade path easily? I have Blur_Version.6.16.211.XT912.Verizon.en.US right here on my SD card just begging to be given another chance... I just dont want to BRICK my phone.

Any help? Suggestions? Etc?

Thanks!

Yup you are stuck and might as well take that .211 off your sd card cause it will just collect dust

if you are not rooted... then you pretty much either have to keep what you have or call and complain to Verizon and see if they will replace your phone.....

Some have had luck by returning their phone to a corporate Verizon store and getting a new one if their phones reception or Wifi or some other phone deal was not working as well as before if they upgraded and it sounds like you got the OTA and did not do it totally on purpose. You can give that a try if you want to do that.

I guess that's the price to be an early adopter.

I was rooted, but lost that when I came over, even using Voodoo.

That's how I ended up with a Razr in the first place lol. I will definitely give this a shot today.

Thanks for your help guys.
