Is there a problem with this app not being able to restore /system?

My experience with this....

Safestrap would get errors restoring /system so I stopped using it.

Bootstrap worked great until I flashed 173 then I started getting /system restore errors again.

I did a fastboot on phone and upgraded to 748 and made a backup. Restored and /system restore worked great.

Upgraded to 173 and once again /system restores would fail.

I tried 3 more times and each time, 748 would restore fine and fail on 173.

Now I just do an advance restore and restore them manually. System still fails but it seems to still flash all of system.

Yep...after trial and error, I found this out too. More steps but it does work. :)

Moved on to the LG G2 on VZW and lovin it!

Video of getting Bootstrap CWR on boot every time
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B65qdm7cd58

Have they made anymore progress with this? Say maybe a "timeout" option, to where if you dont select anything withing 8-10 seconds it would just boot normally? Ive got an HP TP running CM7, and thats how it boots every time.

Still having the same problem as before. I even SBF'd back to .744, did all the updates, and installed the new 2.0 apk. I can still restore everything just fine using advanced restore, however the "Error while restoring system" is still occuring. Anyone else having the same issue??? Thanks again Nitro for all your hard work.

I havnt tried a restore yet... currently in the process of making my 2nd backup.

My question tho is this:
The backup is installed on the SD card under the "clockworkrecovery" folder. Then a subfolder for "backup" then sub folder(s) with the individual backups that are named with the dates they were created.

SO, can you rename those folders (instead of leaving the date)?
I would like to name each backup as "X done", "X now done" ect ect (so i know the differences of what was added/removed for each backup). Would that affect the restore at all?

You have to leave the date and time, or you will mess up the md5 sum. I learned this one the hard way. Leave the date and time alone, then add an underscore _ then the name you want to call it. Ie: 2012-02-11.04.53.55_Eclipse_Done

I was in boot loop yesterday.

Did a factory reset, rerooted, installed BS and tried to apply my backup from restore. I got the "Error while restoring system" too :(

same thing its happening to me, I've tried two restores and both failed. One I did with no wipe of data or cache, pretty much instant fail. Next, I wiped data and cache, got about 50% done, then failed. Wtf? Something is up, this should not be happen ing on a simple restore. It can't be our phones, either we are not doing something we should or we need some instructions on how to do a proper restore
Hey bub, I'm not finished with you yet..... SKNIT!!

Go to the first post and click the link. It will download the Bootstrap.apk.. its not a zip file

+1 I would like a step-by-step on creating/deploying a backup
