I made an awesome mod at the UOT:

and when I tried to flash it, I got a Status 0 error. Then I did what it said on the site to try to fix it which is:

WORKAROUND for recovery error (Status 0):
1. Unzip your ROM and find
META-INF/com/google/android/update-binary file
2. Put this file in the UOT zip (overriding UOT's file)

However, that didn't help, I still got the Status 0 error when I tried again. I was wondering if any of you smart guys would be able to take the original UOT file and fix it for me, then let me know what you did. The rom I am using is Abysm v1.1, and I used the update-binary file from the v1.1 update file that I flashed when I updated from v1 to 1.1.

I would appreciate if anyone could help me, and even more appreciate an explanation of what was wrong, since that helps me learn more stuff. :) Here is a link to the original UOT Kitchen file I made, before I did anything to it:

It is best to just tak ea package you have from a , Etc... And just add the new files. Save that package for a template.

So you fixed it? I'll download that and try to flash it. :P

Thanks for the help everyone, I'll let you know how it goes! I'm sure it will be fine since the awesome sexy man who made the rom (and about 5 other roms a week :P) worked on it!

I added A LOT of different things, took me like 30 mins to pick everything out and customize it. :P I've only ever did simple things on there like make the status bar semi-transparent, but I went all out this time. ^^ I don't know if you dug into it DT, but you were probably like daaamn. Not that I don't like your rom the way it is, I just wanted to do something personalized. ;)

Edit: Once again, can't read before I post! Ok, I'll take the packages and add them in slowly!

Edit edit: Wait, what the hell am I doing? ><

Ive used DT's roms since my tbolt, so yeah he rocks .... did you have to do alot of digging into it dt? I made a few roms for my dinc a yr or so ago and its wasnt that hard, but if uot kitchen is simple and quick, i may come off my streamlined stock back to absym

You need to! I don't know how you can deal with stock stuff! :P This rom is so smooth after you get through the gimpy stuff when you first install it. That goes away quickly as he says though.

I had to fastboot to stock after rom flashing when i got my maxx, so i decided stock then took out all the extras and can run comfortably at 510mb free... but its not.. for lack of a better word .. pretty. I wantit more personal too. Stock sucks ..so plain

Qhd since that's the dimensions it is. :) I'm trying a simple status bar transparency and text color change right now. The last thing I tried, which included this and the rest of the pull down screen didn't work, so just trying simple status bar stuff now in the kitchen.

I can't get anything I tried to work. Not even a simple transparent 30% black status bar. I am done screwing with it, I've been working on it for too much time as it is. ><
