Just checking to see if the root for the .173 is still good to go. No hang ups or anything after being installed for awhile. I've been holding back my update for a few days deciding if I should root before or after update.

Root is fine on .173. As for when to do it if you haven't updated to .173 yet really doesn't matter at this point IMO seeing as we can root the release builds and now the .173 build. So you can do it either way

Just used this to root my Maxx. It did scare me for a minute though, it kept boot looping until I did a reset on it. Now works fine.

Ok, I'm not a complete noob when it comes to rooting, romming, modding, or how ever you want to spill it. This method still works. However:

I thought it had gone into a boot loop, yet when I looked at my screen, I found that the cmd prompt was still on *Rebooting device...., to which I disconnected the usb cable and it runs fine.

If you find yourself in a boot loop, check to see if the program is still trying to reboot the phone, if so, disconnect and close the program.
