I want to recieve daily subscriptions to certain threads or forums. In particular the Fuzion Rom in the RAZR HD Rom section, but daily subscriptions, do not work. Only when I manually subcribe for instant updates, or, as in the case of this forum, the option to automaticly follow threads you respond to, are the only times I recieve email noticies. I checked my spam folder to be safe, but seeing as I do get instant notifications, I think that is a pretty good indicator the bug would be server side. Could an admin please look in to this?

You, personally had a few things wrong in your notification settings. 1, you never set your notifications to be a daily digest and 2 you had receive email from site admins set to "no". So no, you will not receive anything from the site set that way. I fixed your settings, now when you subscribe you should be cool.

I know for a fact I had set daily notifications on some forums.You, personally had a few things wrong in your notification settings. 1, you never set your notifications to be a daily digest and 2 you had receive email from site admins set to "no". So no, you will not receive anything from the site set that way. I fixed your settings, now when you subscribe you should be cool.
2. Seeing as I did get instant notifications, I am not sure how this option has any bearing on the email notifications. It has always been my understanding this applies to email sent manually by the admin. Of course that was from years of working on vBulletin forums not IPB.
I guess time will tell if this solved it. Thanks for finally looking in to this. It's been bugging me for over a month now, so hopefully your right on this.

Nope, looks like my suspicions were correct. Still not getting daily notifications. Haven't need to try instant notifications until now.

I'm running out of ideas. Explain to me exactly which notification style you are looking for and for what content. Just for your own reference, all I am doing is adjusting the settings that you have access too yourself if I'm missing something.

I know exactly what seetings you are changing.
1. Auto follow topics I reply to. - This should not be turned on. It should not need to be turned on.
2. Everything under topic and posts has a email check mark(as you know) so I see nothing wrong here.
This leads me to believe the problem is:
A ) IPB bug possibly something to do with a mod you added.
B ) It's a back end bug with the mail delivery portion of the server.
Have you tried the daily notifications method for your self? It seems unlikely to be a spam issue since I get the instant notifications and other notifications like quoted posts. Plus I see nothing in spam from the forums anyways lol

So ipb has been upgraded(should have gone vbulletin or better yet xen forro
