hi ive got a droid razr with a problem it restarts every 4 minutes it just

-boots
-loads system
-apparently pick up signal (2 seconds)
-BAM! .. reboot

i did full wipe, restore with RSD (.211 ics) updated to .215 and nothing
it stills reboots, BUT, if i load the bootloader and enter in

BP HW DIAG & BOOT AP

it works perfectly, except for usb storage, i also changed the sim card (im using it on Mexico with GSM bands) and nothing, changed the microsd and nothing

then i installed a jb rom (compatible with ics kernel) "WIZZED BEAN RLS7"

Please Login or Register to see this Hidden Content

and the phone doesnt rebooted but i cant send SMS texts and i dont get data

i tried another roms but nothing only WIZZED BEAN RLS7 rom "worked"

so i only can use the phone with:

1: BP HW DIAG & BOOT AP (but no usb connection, even for charge, nothing)

2: WIZZED BEAN RLS7 (but no sms and data)

i tried updating the phone to the JB OTA Leak but i always get this error

assert failed: motorola.motoflash("/tmp/bp.img")
E:Error in /tmp/sideload/package.zip
(Status 7)
Installation Aborted

--------------------------------------------------

I DONT KNOW WHAT TO DO! can anyone help me?

i attached some info i got from the phone (if yo need more just tell me)

Under the phone info and the "select preferred network" dropdown have you tried switching the "unknown" to gsm?

Bring up the main menu, there maybe some things in there to switch like: Radio band.... maybe set it to auto.

Have you attempted the JB update with .211 and not .215? This is more than likely what your problem is.

Have you tried booting the phone in safe mode, which only loads system and stock apps? I don't know the sequence but I think you continually hold down the menu button or home button until Android completely loads. Google the sequence to be sure though.

If neither of these work, I'm assuming you've either got corrupted software or malfunctioning hardware. I would flash back to .211 and use RSD lite 6.1 and reflash ICS. The XML can be found on SBF Droid Developers website (Google it). If after starting fresh after using RSD lite you still have the same issue, its probably hardware related.

RSD Lite and XML file links can be found here:

Make sure you click BACK if you click the sbf link on that thread! You have to get the XML for the XT912, and the page it opens onto is the XT926.

EDIT: I apologize, I misread your post. I'll still leave what I wrote up in case it might offer any help. Sorry for the confusion.

I would try to use rsd lite 6.1 and reflash ICS from .211. Make sure you delete cache and memory. If that doesn't work, there's not much else that can be done. A boot loop like the one your describing can only be caused by corrupted software of damaged hardware.

I'm not as knowledgeable as some, so if a reflash with rsd lite 6.1. from .211 and wiping cache and internal storage doesn't work, I'd try PMing some of the devs on the site, like tucstwo, Matt Groff, dirtydroidx, or others.

no :c but i found some info, i think is the baseband version ive got CDMA_N_05.11.01PLTEDC_U_09.14.00 and my friend has the same phone with CDMA_N_05.11.01PLTEDC_U_09.11.00 and it works perfectly, also the droid bionic users have the same problem and the most of them have the same baseband, is there a way to change the bootloader?

I didn't realize, until this morning, that there's a chatroom on this forum, so I would try hopping in there and asking :-)

I have the same problem as you had and did the same things to get it working properly.

Your last comment took out the little hope I had.

Do you have any news on this?

Best regards!

I have a spare bionic with ALL the same issues as posted above. It works on cm10.1 or HW diag mode. No signal. I gave up, it's definitely hardware...

I tried fxz's, flashing radio only, changing networks, spc programming menu. nothing worked.
